Your Guide To:

Shopping for your wedding dress is one of the most exciting parts of planning your big day. It's a moment you'll remember forever, and while it can feel a little overwhelming, it really doesn't have to be! Every bride's journey is completely unique, and that's exactly how it should be.

Here are our top tips to help you enjoy every magical moment of finding your dream dress.

There Is No Right or Wrong Time

One of the questions we're asked most is, "When should I start shopping?"

In an ideal world, we'd recommend starting your dress journey around 9-18 months before your wedding. This gives you plenty of time to browse, order, and make any alterations without feeling rushed.

That said, there are no rules!

We work with brides on all kinds of timelines. Whether your wedding feels forever away or just around the corner, we'll always do everything we can to help you find your perfect dress.

Our order-in collection features beautiful gowns that can take up to five months to arrive, while our gorgeous off-the-peg collection is perfect if you're working to a shorter timeframe—you can fall in love with your dress and take it home the very same day!

Whatever your timeline, we've got options to suit you.

How Many Bridal Shops Should You Visit?

Every bride shops differently, but we often find that 2-3 bridal boutiques is the perfect number.

It gives you the chance to explore different styles, designers and experiences without becoming overwhelmed by too much choice.

Some brides walk into their very first appointment and find the dress. Others enjoy visiting a couple of boutiques before returning to say "yes" to the one they can't stop thinking about.

Both journeys are equally perfect.

Trust yourself, enjoy the experience, and don't worry about what anyone else is doing.

It's Absolutely OK to Say "Yes" at Your First Appointment

One of the biggest myths about wedding dress shopping is that you have to visit lots of boutiques before making your decision.

The truth? If you find the dress at your very first appointment and you know it's the one—say yes! 💕

Some brides simply know. They don't need to keep looking or compare dozens of dresses because they've found the gown that makes them feel amazing. Trust that feeling.

Equally, if you'd like a little more time to think or you'd love to see your favourite dress again, that's absolutely fine too. We happily offer revisit appointments, giving you the chance to come back, try your favourite gowns on again, and make your decision when you feel completely ready.

There's no right or wrong way to find your dress—only the way that feels right for you.

Choose Your Guests Wisely

Who you bring to your appointment can make a huge difference to your experience.

The people around you should make you feel supported, confident and excited.

We don't have a set limit on guest numbers because every bride's situation is different. However, our biggest piece of advice is to bring the people whose opinions genuinely matter to you.

Sometimes, too many voices can make choosing a dress much harder than it needs to be. Everyone has different tastes, but remember—the only opinion that truly matters is yours.

Bring the people who will cheer you on, guide you kindly and help you feel like the best version of yourself.

Enjoy Every Moment

Wedding dress shopping should be one of the happiest parts of planning your wedding.

Laugh. Try on styles you never expected to love. Be open-minded. Take photos, celebrate the little moments, and don't put too much pressure on yourself.

Your dream dress might be exactly what you've always imagined—or it could be something completely unexpected.

Either way, when you find it, you'll know.

And we'll be right there, celebrating with you every step of the way. 💕

We can't wait to welcome you into our showroom and help make your bridal journey as relaxed, exciting and unforgettable as your wedding day itself.
