Do I need to book, or can I just pop in?

We’re all about giving you the best experience possible, so we’re appointment based. Walk in’s are of course welcome but as a busy showroom, our appointments will be prioritised.

How long is my appointment?

Our consultations are 90 minutes... Plenty of time to try, twirl, and fall in love without feeling rushed.

Can I bring guests?

Of course! Bring your bride tribe to help you find your perfect dress.

We have a limit of 4 guests (plus our bride) on a Saturday but you are welcome to bring as many as you like for a weekday visit.


Finding The One

When should I start dress shopping?

We’d say around 12-18 months before your big day. But honestly? There are no rules here—just come when you’re ready.

What sizes do you stock?

Our samples come in a range of sizes from 6-36 (with most sitting around 12-22), and our stylists are pros at helping you imagine the fit.

How long do dresses take to arrive?

Usually around 4–6 months. But if you’re on a tighter timeline, don’t panic—we’ve got a fantastic ‘off the peg’ collection with some serious savings too.

What should I bring with me?

Just yourself, your excitement and an open mind. If you want to come ultra prepared, a pair of nude underwear is helpful but certainly not essential, and maybe some inspo pics.

How much are your dresses?

Our ‘made to order’ gowns typically sit between £995–£2500, with our ‘off the peg’ range enticingly sat between £300-£950.


The Practical Stuff

Where are you based?

We’re in Trowbridge, Wiltshire but we see brides from all over Somerset, Avon, Dorset and beyond on a regular basis!—Head to our ‘contact us’ page for more detailed info.

Is there parking?

Yes! We are conveniently located right by The Shires shopping centre and Asda car park. It’s free for your first hour and then only £1 per hour after, plus you pay on exit.

What if I need to reschedule?

Life happens—we get it. Just give us a heads-up and we’ll sort a new time for you.

What makes The Bridal Lounge different?

Do you have a good range of prom dresses?

Obsessed is an understatement. Our entire top floor is dedicated to prom with over 300 dresses to choose from—think all the sparkle, colour, and main character energy.

Can I bring my girl gang?

Always. We have a limit of 3 guests (plus our prom girl) so grab your mum, your nan, your friend. or all 3! Please do note that a parent or guardian over the age of 18 MUST be present at the appointment.

What if someone at my school picks the same dress?

We’ve got you. We offer a store level guarantee where we will not sell the same dress in the same colour to anyone attending the same prom—because every prom queen deserves her moment.

Who do you stock?

Our ‘made to order’ gowns are supplied by award winning British designer Tiffany’s Prom and we are really proud to be exclusive stockists in the area. Our ‘off the peg’ collections are from a top range of prom designers based in the UK including Mascara of London.

How much are your dresses?

Our ‘made to order’ gowns typically sit between £180-£595, with our ‘off the peg’ range competitively sat between £120-£399.
